A Note from the Photographer

This one had been a long time coming.

They were about to go on a trip the week everything shut down in March 2020 so they got grounded. Chadd had planned on proposing while they were on that trip, but he decided he was still going to go ahead with it, and it was still going to be special. They turned their vacation into a staycation and brought the tropical vibes to their own home, and he still popped the question!

At that point, they decided that they did not want restrictions affecting their dream wedding, so they picked a date way out there and hoped for the best. And it paid off.

Your wedding day can be anything you want it to be.

I can tell you that their wedding was exactly what they wanted it to be. You could feel it all day, from their church ceremony, to their intimate family dinner at Deane House and their huge reception at the White Diamond Conference Center.

And I saw the smile on Emily’s face when I dropped off her photos and she told me that it really was everything they had ever hoped for.

And to top it all up, it snowed. A winter wonderland.

A snocotber wedding one might say.

A dreamy-beautiful-magical-wondrous-breathtaking-lucky-how-did-this-happen-it’s-incredible kind of day.

What went through your heads when you saw snow in the forecast for your October wedding and how did it turn out on the day of?

“I was pretty hopeful that it would turn out to be a beautiful backdrop for photos but definitely a little nervous for our out of town guests travelling. The morning was very snowy causing slow drives to hair and makeup but created the perfect blanket of pure white fresh snow. The colourful fall leaves peeked through and we could not have dreamed up a better weather day.”

With everything that was happening in the world at the time of your engagement the, you decided to set a wedding date way out there to make sure that all restrictions would be behind us by the time you got married. Turns out you were right! Was it so worth the wait, and was your wedding day everything you were hoping for?

“It was 1000% worth the wait. We had all the time in the world to plan (and pay for) the perfect day. All of our friends and family were able to join us and let loose to celebrate with us. We could not have asked for more.”

What was the best part of your day?…if it’s even possible to pick one!

Chadd: “Celebrating with friends and family!”

Emily: “The limo ride and dance floor. But mostly that we were able to sit back and enjoy the ride (thanks to our coordinator)!”
