A Note from the Photographer
B & B’s micro wedding in Canmore was everything they dreamed of – perfectly planned, thoughtful, and full of love from start to finish. They put so much care into every detail, and it showed in how the day came together.
These two are adored. You could feel it in every part of the day, in the tears when her friends saw how stunning Becky was in her wedding dress, in the speeches (cue tears and laughter, including the girl behind the camera) and in the energy once everyone hit the dance floor. Every person there was completely invested in celebrating them, which made the day feel so special.
They got ready at the Georgetown Inn – so unique and GREAT lighting (happy photographer). And just to make it even more amazing, they held the rest of their wedding at The Sensory in Canmore, with the Three Sisters as a backdrop.
Their vision truly came to life.
There is so much love and happiness preserved in their wedding photos.
How special was it to get married in stunning Canmore, surrounded by mountains?
“It was a dream come true to get married in Canmore. We visit the mountains regularly for hikes and weekend getaways so it felt extra special to commit to each other for life in our favourite place.”

What is your advice for other couples considering a micro wedding?
“If there is any part of you that wants a micro wedding, go for it. We considered a big wedding but really wanted the intimacy of a small group. This allowed us to truly connect with each person on our wedding day and made the planning process much easy. It also allowed us to get married in our dream venue.”

Being your favourite thing about weddings, were the speeches as amazing as you had hoped they would be?
“The speeches exceeded our expectations in every way. They were heartfelt, funny, and beautifully delivered. We felt like the luckiest people in the world listening to each one.”

What was your favourite part of your wedding day — if you can even pick one?
“Our favourite part of the day was dinner and speeches. We put together our own playlists, and it was so enjoyable to hear our favourite songs playing as we admired the mountain views, sipped cocktails, and listened to the amazing speeches. Alternating between dinner courses and speeches made this part of the evening last for hours, letting us fully enjoy every moment.”

How did it feel when you first got your pictures back, and how does it feel looking back on your wedding day now?
“We absolutely loved seeing our pictures. The day was captured more beautifully and authentically than we could have imagined. The pictures feel like us and it is a joy to look back on them regularly and remember our perfect day.”
