A Maternity Session, Couple Session and Family Session All-In-One
This is more than a maternity session. These are photos that will remind this family of those moments, only a few weeks before meeting their new baby daughter. These photos capture a couple in love. They capture a family with a busy busy busy toddler. And parents who are encouraging their little one to explore, be curious and get dirty. This little one showed up ready to have fun and did she ever! And I have to say that her mommy is such trooper, chasing, carrying, lifting, twirling, helping her climb, all while being eight months pregnant! I was so impressed! That afternoon was just so much fun. And the massive giggles in the photos are a testament to that.
The Power of Black and White Photography
I love warm, vibrant and natural colours. But when it comes to maternity sessions, I like delivering both the colour and the black and white versions of the photos of the beautiful mother-to-be in the final gallery. There is something so timeless and intimate about a black and white image. I love how it puts the emphasis on the lighting, shadows and contrast. And it somehow just feels like you can see into her heart and understand the emotions she feels as she cuddles that perfect round belly. Timeless striking beauty.
